Custom Motorcycles For Sale: West Coast Choppers, Monster Garage, Custom Built, Motorcycle Sales And Used Motorcycles

Motorcyclists are known for being just as passionate if not more than their car modding counterparts. The custom motorcycle business has become a big moneymaker for a lot of companies over the past several years. In fact, the production run on some motorcycles, like the higher end Harleys, are so limited they can't be considered anything but a custom built motorcycle. So finding custom motorcycles for sale isn't going to be difficult. The hardest part about custom motorcycles for sale is the fact that they can cost double or triple what most people are willing to pay.

The recent surge in custom motorcycles for sale can, in large part, be traced back to custom modding shows like “American Chopper” or “Monster Garage.” Shows like Monster Garage have given rise to the popularity of custom modding companies like West Coast Choppers who do serious aftermarket modifications to improve the performance or look of a bike. Companies like these usually have custom motorcycles for sale, however, a custom build motorcycle from West Coast Choppers will start at $45,000 for just a basic model and into the hundreds of thousands of dollars for more advanced work.

Some people are willing to pay for the premium of riding custom motorcycles for sale, though. Custom motorcycle sales are on the rise throughout the U.S., and many standard bike dealers are offering their own custom motorcycles for sale. A simple web search will turn up hundreds of shops willing to provide customization work for the right price, and individuals and dealers are selling all kinds of pre-modified bikes as well. The upshot of the rise in custom motorcycle sales for the consumer is that they are bound to find all the right makes, models, and parts for whatever they're hoping to have done to their bike. The downside, of course, is that custom motorcycles for sale tend to cost even more than a similarly modified car. Even older used motorcycles with fairly cosmetic modifications will cost over $30,000.

Yet a growing number of custom built motorcycle enthusiasts are shunning custom motorcycles for sale altogether. Dozens of books and instructional videos have hit the market detailing how bikers can make modification to their own bikes. For as much pride as most bikers take in their rides, it's no surprise that so many of these men and women have taken it upon themselves to remake their bike in their own image. It hasn't hampered the custom motorcycles for sale market to any staggering degree, but expect to see the number of self made modifications to increase as time goes on.

The idea of custom motorcycles for sale isn't exactly a new one, but it's a market that has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. Whether it involves cool new paint jobs or body work on used motorcycles or a complete exhaust or engine overhaul, the concept of custom motorcycles for sale is here to stay. Companies like Harley Davidson, Yamaha, and, of course, West Coast Choppers have facilitated this rise and given customers the option to tailor the bikes to their own needs. As time goes on and more individuals take the time and effort to revise their own bikes, the custom built motorcycle market is only going to get more exciting and more diverse.
